A Heritage Profession: Commercial Represantation
In the early 1940's, during the foundations of trade in Türkiye were first being established, Ibrahim Yusumut initiated a commercial representation activity in Sirkeci, Istanbul.
Over the following decades, this activity expanded across a wide range of sectors, including textiles, telecommunication devices, chemical raw materials, industrial machinery and components.
In the early 1980's, through the initiatives of Murat Yusumut and Emel Abacıoğlu, the business transitioned solely into the iron and steel industry.
Particularly after the 2000's, this evolution continued with the exclusive representation in Türkiye of several Italian iron and steel producers, machine and equipment suppliers; each specializing in different product segments within their respective fields.
Building on this legacy, Ing. Engin Yusumut founded EY&Co. in 2018, further specializing in the sector by consolidating its activities within a single area of expertise and reshaping the businesses from a multi-representation structure into a focused and fully integrated model built around a single principal.
From 2018Q4 until the end of 2024, EY&Co. successfully carried out the exclusive sales representation of Acciaierie Bertoli Safau S.p.A. and Acciaierie Bertoli Safau Sisak d.o.o, both part of the steelmaking division of the Danieli Group whereas located in Udine, Italy.
During this period, EY&Co. developed and executed a wide range of business development projects in Türkiye, particularly in the engineering steel long products segment.
By working closely with Turkish OEMs, sub-suppliers, and major steel service centers, the company established a strong and sustainable market presence while successfully managing the entire supply chain process end-to-end.
This integrated approach enabled EY&Co. to create tangible value across the value chain, strengthening customer relationships and positioning its partners for long-term success in the Turkish market.

In parallel, the company coordinated and executed various mergers and acquisitions (m&a) projects within the iron and steel industry.

Ing. Engin Yusumut
Managing Director
Engin Yusumut, born in Istanbul in 1981, completed his secondary education at Private Doğuş High School. He subsequently pursued Italian language studies at the Istituto Dante Alighieri in Italy, before continuing his academic path in engineering.
He studied Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Sakarya University and graduated from the Industrial Engineering of Doğuş University in 2004.
Prior to the establishment of EY&Co. in Oct. 2018, he played an active role in the family-owned businesses, where he was instrumental in managing the representation of several Italian iron & steel producers in Türkiye.
